Children ferry to Peaks Island for the true island experience. This program combines outdoor exploring with fieldtrips, art, music, games, and island adventures!
Rover Camp is designed to give your children a fun-filled, well-supervised experience on Peaks Island. The island, with its rural environment, provides a unique setting for outdoor recreation and educational activities.
Ages: 5 (completed Kindergarten) - 10
Staff: The program provides an experienced, well-qualified, educational and recreational staff. The program maintains an eight to one staff ratio to provide a safe and stimulating summer for your child.
Size: Sessions maximum enrollment is 14 to ensure a personalized experience for your child. Sessions with fewer than 4 children will be canceled.
Island Rover weeks will be loosely structured around the specified theme. Theme weeks stand alone, but can also overlap (ex: art and knights and dragons). All planned activities will be subject to change, based on the weather, availability of resources and children’s interest. In addition to planned field trips, on and off island, there will be unstructured time daily for the beach, walks, quiet time and games.
